Mithridion, Inc, won the Grand Prize in the 2nd Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Competition.  The prize, consisting of $20,000 in cash and a year's free rent at the University Research Park in Madison, Wisconsin, was awarded at a dinner at the Entrepreneurs' Conference in Milwaukee held June 7, 2005.

Mithridion won against stiff competition from more than 200 entries from 58 cities in Wisconsin.  46 judges reviewed the plans, which were submitted in three phases - a 250 word idea; a 4 page summary plan; and a 20 page plan.  Mithridion and three other finalists made oral presentations to a panel of judges for selection of the Grand Prize Winner.

BIOPONS CEO and Principal Consultant, Trevor Twose, masterminded Mithridion's entry for the contest and wrote the business plan.

Success in the contest provided recognition and public exposure for Mithridion in Wisconsin.  The cash and free rent will contribute substantially to the start-up of Mithridion's operations.
